On Friday the 28th at 2pm, Tu Nokwe and The Nokwe Creative Development Foundation will be re-launching the Amajika Arts Empowerment partnership with the Johannesburg Theatre (Civic in Braamfontein).

In 2011, Tu Nokwe was honored to serve as Patron to The Elton John Masibambisane Centre for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in Eldorado Park. The Centre is a division of the Johannesburg Child Welfare Organization and was established in 2003. This Friday we will showcase young talent we have been grooming on the 1st level of the Amajika Theatre program teaching Dance, Voice, Drumming and Journey of my Soul Music Therapy, a foundation for Self Management.

This Friday showcase program will also include:

  • -  Screening of videos of how everything came together
  • -  A presentation of the plan for the program moving forward
  • -  An open mic stage for groups and individuals wishing to

    showcase their talents

  • -  Surprise celebrity guests that will motivate and inspire the kids

    At the end of the year, from this pool of youth and children, Tu Nokwe Productions will select exceptional artists that will participate in the 1st African Pantomime ‘JOY MUSICAL’ which will be presented every year. Community groups and Schools are encouraged to book the services of Amajika by contacting us on nokwecdfoundation@global.co.za.
